Lift Tickets

Don’t have much cash but need to be on the Mountain? Boreal offers lift tickets and season passes to accommodate your budget, schedule and needs.

With an All Day Ticket you can ski or ride from morning through the night, and with a Night Ticket you can enjoy the mountain under the lights for a fraction of the cost (3:30pm-9pm Post-Thanksgiving through March 27, 2010). Boreal also offers a Parent Shared Ticket allowing adults to share a single pass, so parents can balance time with their toddlers. College students, sweat your exams but don’t sweat your lift ticket fees, ride Friday’s at Boreal with your college student i.d. for just $15*.

College Students – Plan your Fridays at Boreal where your lift tickets are just $15! Bring a valid college student i.d. and ski/ride for just $15. Holiday restrictions include 11/27/09, 12/25/09 and 1/1/10.

Armed Forces - Check with your Outdoor Recreation Office for discounted lift tickets. We also offer $15 lift tickets on Fridays for all active military with a valid i.d. Holiday restrictions include 11/27/09, 12/25/09 and 1/1/10.

Furloughed CA State Employees - We offer $15 lift tickets on Fridays for all furloughed CA State Employees with a valid i.d. Holiday restrictions include 11/27/09, 12/25/09 and 1/1/10.

Holiday Pricing: November 26-29, 2009 (Adults $49). Dec. 25, 2009 - Jan. 2, 2010, Jan. 16–18, 2010, Feb. 13–15, 2010.

Scheduled Closing Day: April 11, 2010 (subject to change). Last day for Night Operations: April 3rd.

Note

Boreal Nights start after Thanksgiving and extend thru April 3rd, 2010 weather permitting.
Resort closes at 4:00 pm when night skiing/boarding is not in operation.
Resort will close at 4:00 pm on Christmas Eve.
Operating hours and prices may change without notice.
Snow bikes are not allowed at Boreal.
Snow skates are allowed with leashes.

You must have a valid season pass or appropriate lift ticket to ride our lifts or access our mountain. If you do not have a valid season pass or appropriate lift ticket, and attempt to ride our lifts or access our mountain, you will be subject to a fine, and/or the Nevada County Sheriff will be contacted. Trespassing is a criminal offense.

Trespassing at Boreal includes, but is not limited to:

• A person skiing/snowboarding or tubing without a valid lift ticket or season pass
• A person skiing/ snowboarding or tubing on a ticket that does not meet the correct age requirement, or on another persons ticket or season pass. You may not share lift tickets or passes.
• Boreal does not offer sledding, or mountain access for personal sledding. Tubing is offered in Boreal’s designated Playland Tubing Park only.

WARNING: Risk of Avalanche

While snow safety and avalanche mitigation efforts help reduce the risk of avalanches, avalanches and snow slides may occur at ski areas, both inside and outside of the posted boundaries. Avalanches are an inherent risk of the sport due to the nature of snow and its application on steep, mountainous terrain. Become educated on how to reduce the risk of injury or death from avalanches through your own actions and awareness. HEAD’S UP! Know The Code, It's Your Responsibility

Skiing can be enjoyed in many ways. At ski areas you may see people using alpine, snowboard, telemark, cross country and other specialized ski equipment, such as that used by disabled or other skiers. Regardless of how you decide to enjoy the slopes, always show courtesy to others and be aware that there are elements of risk in skiing that common sense and personal awareness can help reduce. Observe the code listed below and share with other skiers the responsibility for a great skiing experience.

Always stay in control, and be able to stop or avoid other people or objects.
People ahead of you have the right of way. It is your responsibility to avoid them.
You must not stop where you obstruct a trail, or are not visible from above.
Whenever starting downhill or merging into a trail, look uphill and yield to others.
Always use devices to help prevent runaway equipment.
Observe all posted signs and warnings. Keep off closed trails and out of closed areas.
Prior to using any lift, you must have the knowledge and ability to load, ride and unload safely.

Skiers and snowboarders assume the risk of death or any injury to person or property resulting from any of the inherent risks of skiing, including changing weather conditions; existing and changing snow conditions; bare spots; stumps; trees; collisions with natural objects, man-made objects, or other skiers or snowboarders; variations in terrain; and failure to ski and snowboard within their own abilities.

CAUTION -- deep snow or tree wells can expose you to the risk of snow
immersion injuries or fatalities. Educate yourself on how to reduce the risks and
