BOREAL’S BACK FOR A SECOND HELPING JUST IN TIME FOR TURKEY DAY

DONNER SUMMIT, Calif. (Nov. 21, 2007), - Colder temperatures on Donner Summit have enabled Boreal to crank up its snowmaking machines allowing the resort to reopen Wed., Nov. 21. Boreal is scheduled to offer its traditional early season intermediate trail via the Gunnar’s Chairlift, plus jib features for park riders. With cold temperatures forecasted throughout the holiday weekend, Boreal anticipates the opening of night operations Friday, Nov. 23, in addition to the slated opening of two trails, two chairlifts and a moving carpet, pending conditions.

“As an avid boarder, I am looking forward to winter just as much as our customers. Our number one goal is to get skiers and boarders on the snow as quickly as possible.,” said Jon Slaughter, Marketing Manager. “We’re taking advantage of this cold front to blow snow so we can get people riding this Thanksgiving.” Resort personnel do recommend skiers and riders check the website at www.rideboreal.com, or call 530-426-3666 before making your trip.

Boreal will be open from 10 a.m. until dark Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, switching operating hours to 9 a.m. – 4 p. m. for Thursday, Nov., 22, 2007. Night operations will begin Friday, Nov. 23, 2007 at 3:30 p.m. More lifts and runs will continue to open as snow and weather conditions permit. Resort services will include all base facilities including food and beverage, ski/snowboard rentals, and retail.

Be sure to visit Boreal’s website, www.rideboreal.com, or call ahead for ongoing updates on reopening details.
